Data Engineer (d/f/m)

For years Mobile.de has been on an exciting transformation of bringing data products and the value they provide further into the heart of our company. As part of this journey, we are looking for a Data Engineer (d/f/m) to become part of the Mobile.de Data Strategy Platform team.

We transform the way mobile.de works with data by facilitating our organizational transformation, guiding other teams in taking ownership, driving standards and providing easy access to high-quality & unified data for all our colleagues. Reporting to one of our Data Engineering Leads, by joining us you will help us to lead faster, better decision making and create platforms and solutions that bring more value to our partners.

We take time for regular socializing opportunities, as per our hybrid working model (which allows a lot of flexibility and remote work) to keep up the spirit with activities like regular mood check-ins, game sessions, themed zoom backgrounds or outdoor 1:1s. Your role:

• Be part of and help grow our diverse and multicultural Data Strategy team.
• Develop a future proof cloud Data Platform solution together with our team of Data Engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions to exchange actionable feedback with peers.
• Work in a diverse environment. Collaborate with our Product, Data Science and Analytics colleagues to understand their needs and use technologies to build solutions that enable them to build high-quality data products.
• Collaborate with platform and data teams across Adevinta to use and reuse the most effective solutions.

Your profile:

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field.
• You have experience building scalable, reliable distributed data platforms and solutions that are used by the internal customers.
• You have good working experience with Redshift, Spark, AWS services, Kafka or similar solutions.
• You are a team player and can approach problems with first principles thinking, enjoy collaboration with a diverse set of colleagues and provide complex solutions.
• You are proficient with Scala/Java, or Python, and feel at ease with SQL.

What will make you stand out:

• You are familiar with at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS).
• You stay abreast of modern data platform tools like DBT, Soda, and possess knowledge of Data Quality, Data Contracts, SLO/SLA.
• You are familiar with different database technologies, like RDBMS (e.g. MySQL), noSQL (e.g. mongoDB, Cassandra) or cloud DWH (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift).
• You have the knowledge of data quality management, data governance, and data security best practices.
• You possess a knowledge of DevOps engineering using Continuous Integration/Delivery tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, etc., thinking about automation, monitoring, security, and other declarative infrastructure.
