Senior Engineer iOS

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated self-starter, who is proficient in iOS mobile development. You have built a few iOS apps in both Objective-C and Swift and ideally have a few references in the App Store. You have a broad view of standard practices in the iOS community and have experience working with concepts like dependency injection, reactive programming, inversion of control, unit & instrumentation testing etc. We value simplicity, clean and well-architected code.

What you’ll be doing 

• Join our agile team of passionate and humble engineers to produce high-performance, scalable code. 

• As a hands-on developer, you'll contribute daily to our codebase and participate in peer reviews. 

• Be part of the development lifecycle, from conception to release. 

• Join technical discussions, brainstorm, and proactively improve our infrastructure and processes

What you bring to the role 

• Experience working with Objective-C & Swift.

• Capable of using standard libraries/APIs, knowledgeable about Object Oriented Programming and network protocols (Rest APIs, Sockets).

• Good communication skills - you can effectively express your point of view to others and just as importantly, actively listen to others ensuring a good discussion 

• Ambition to understand complex systems focused on identifying and decomposing requirements.

• Passion for mobile technology and a desire to learn and grow as an iOS developer.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in building SDKs, writing unit tests and familiar with best practices like TDD, BDD. 

• Agile methodology, and debugging.

• Awesome debugging & memory profiling skills

• Experience working on other mobile platforms or SDKs

• Knowledge of Combine, XCTest, EarlGrey

• Experience with automation tools like Fastlane, Danger

• Open-source contributions or active Github/StackOverflow profile

• Latest iOS SDKs & APIs, e.g. SwiftUI, Combine, Apple Web Socket etc.

Tech Stack

• We develop majorly in Swift, with some Objective-C knowledge expected.

• Github Actions for CI/CD in YAML.

In this role, you’ll work primarily remotely with the support of a dynamic and caring team. We’ll provide you with the digital tools and experiences to be together–even when we’re apart. Being digital first doesn’t mean we’re digital only. You’ll also have the flexibility to join us at a Zendesk workspace, in one of our Zendesk offices or our flex office spaces. We will bring our people together on occasion to connect, collaborate, learn, or celebrate in person.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł198,000.00-zł340,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
