Power BI Developer | Four-Month Fixed Term Opportunity.

• Four-month fixed-term opportunity based in Britomart, Auckland

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Are you a Power BI expert who can do more than build a great-looking dashboard? We’re looking for someone who understands the datasets behind the visuals, can uncover the story within complex information, and translate it into clear, actionable insights.

Joining our Risk Analytics team, you’ll be the key Power BI specialist responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade dashboards, semantic models, visualisations, and automated reporting solutions. Your work will support Regulatory Loan Level Data disclosures and help provide trusted insights for business, risk, and regulatory decision-making.

You’ll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and turn them into practical, scalable solutions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Build and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualisations
• Develop scalable semantic models, datasets and reporting assets
• Explore complex datasets and translate information into meaningful, actionable insights
• Support Loan Level Data portfolio and regulatory reporting
• Investigate and resolve data quality, reconciliation and reporting issues
• Automate and standardise reporting processes to reduce manual effort
• Ensure reporting solutions meet data governance, security and control requirements

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

• Strong hands-on experience designing and developing end-to-end Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
• Advanced skills across semantic modelling, DAX and Power Query
• Strong SQL capability, with experience working confidently across large and complex datasets
• The ability to move beyond presenting data and translate it into clear, meaningful, and actionable insights
• Experience building scalable and automated reporting solutions, with a focus on accuracy, reliability and usability
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn business requirements into effective reporting solutions
• Experience with Snowflake or Snowflake SQL would be valuable, while exposure to banking, lending, risk, regulatory reporting or Loan Level Data would be advantageous but is not essential
• Willingness to embrace AI to accelerate report development
