Director - Senior Lead Commercial Mortgage Banker

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking Director - Senior Lead Commercial Mortgage Banker a covers jobs focused on origination and structuring of multifamily loans that conform to agency underwriting standards. Responsible for originating loans by marketing the firm within specific multifamily products.

In this role, you will:

• Interface with leaders and key personnel from Multifamily Capital (MFC), Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) and MFC/Commercial Real Estate (CRE) clients
• Manage deals from initial screening to closing of the loan
• Work with our Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) group to assure servicing requests are met on a timely and in a satisfactory manor for the clients
• Play a lead role in overseeing the client relationships
• Work with other groups within WF that cover same clients to ensure that all groups are coordinated
• Work with Lender Counsel to manage and resolve legal issues
• Maintain knowledge of current on Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) policies with respect to underwriting, loan documentation and pricing and communicate these updates with clients
• Work on special production initiatives with the objective of driving revenue for the group
• Keep senior team members abreast of important issues relating to loan opportunities and client relationships
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Commercial Mortgage Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 7+ years experience in Commercial Real Estate Originations
• 7+ years of Commercial Real Estate process flow experience
• Experience with Affordable GSE prodcuts from Fannie and Freddie and FHA
• Experience with one or more government agency commercial mortgage specialty products
• Experience with complex commercial real estate loan documentation
• Experience developing and maintaining knowledge and understanding of commercial loan products and provide market intelligence to maintain competitive edge
• Experience generating revenue and actively participate in the successful completion of complex transactions
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment in the application of analytical conclusions to credit approval, structure, and management recommendations
• Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
• A BS/BA degree or higher

Job Expectations:

• Travel as needed up to 30%
• This position is a commission based role. Draw salary in NY, NY is $130,000-$150,000

Pay Range

$115,900.00 - $206,100.00
