Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Principle Network Engineer with multi-network technologies and technical leadership experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.
What you will do
Supervise creation of complex engineering solutions for new or enhanced technology and the integration of solutions and services.
Design and model services for inter-networking and client converged networks.
Lead, direct, or recommend cross-functional team targeted for system enhancements for system performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity.
Evaluate product and service solutions.
Oversee and develop multi-platform converged enterprise engineering solutions targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new network service platform solutions for business and infrastructure services.
Be a subject matter expert in multi-network technologies, advanced and multi-dimensional troubleshooting, recommendations, and multi-platform issue resolution for highly complex systems, network and security problems across multiple/converged technology solutions and services
Lead advanced knowledge sharing and recommendations for converged network: voice, data, security, data transmission systems, equipment capabilities, products, services, features and configurations.
Manage and develop new solutions and integrated service offerings to meet large-scale or enterprise projects or service requirements.
Provide senior technical leadership, representing network organization in cross-functional/project teams.
Manage development, often leading cross-functional technical team driving efforts for performance improvement, expansion, and procedures across multiple/converged services and platforms.
Supervise and lead delivery and development of multiple and converged systems documentation, procedures, and processes.
Coordinate the maintenance and modification of systems.
Provide guidance for advanced technical support for multiple and converged systems and services. Administer, develop, and perform capacity and resource planning to optimize new and expand existing network system.
Basic Qualifications
-Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 7 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.
-At least 7 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Extensive experience in: Hardware Infrastructure, Network infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, Product and vendor evaluation, IT standards, procedures, policy
Cisco certification preferred.
Strong experience in: Networks (Data, wide area, Local Area , & Voice operations) with Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong facilitation skills working with both internal and external parties.
Preferrred experience with Python or Ansible
Subject matter expert in: Network Documentation, design and architecture and internet security
Experience with Tools/Applications: Wireshark, DNA Center, ACI, SD-WAN, Spirent testing suite (TestCenter/Velocity/CyberFlood/iTest)
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
