About the Role:

The CP readiness team's vision is to empower Confluent by being the upholder of quality by developing and delivering customer workflow enablement, Test frameworks, and automation for the Confluent Platform with the highest efficiency and quality.

We are passionate about building comprehensive test strategies and tools to serve our customerZero environments and build test automation frameworks and tools that facilitate the entire development and release lifecycle for the whole organisation.
This role requires you to wear multiple hats to drive a high bar product quality with a customer mindset along with a passion for automation and the development of test frameworks.

What You Will Do:

• As a member of the CP Readiness team, you will have a direct impact on our core products.
• Designing and implementing large test Environments that serve as customerZero deployments.
• Have an affinity towards product quality and serve as a quality evangelist across the organisation
• Learn from Customer use cases and automate Customer workflows and end-to-end scenarios
• Develop end-to-end workflow automation, develop new frameworks, tools and improve existing frameworks to achieve efficiencies
• Ability to monitor and debug distributed environments

What You Will Bring:

• Innate desire to work on product quality, automation frameworks and customer use cases.
• Advanced  skills in Python, Shell scripting
• Experience with building frameworks and ci/cd pipelines
• Experience with configuration management systems, and infrastructure as code tools(e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Packer, Terraform, Consul, Vault, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud and container platforms like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc
• Working knowledge of databases, caching, and messaging systems (MySql, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Voldemort, Kafka, etc.)
• Experience driving cross-team technical discussions with different stakeholders.
