Job Description Summary:

As an Equipment Innovation Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role within the Advanced Technology Solutions team, reporting directly to the Senior Director. Your focus will be on driving technical advancements for groundbreaking product concepts in the dispensed beverage domain. This position demands curiosity, empathy, creativity, and strategic acumen to tackle intricate business problems. Collaborating with internal stakeholders across The Coca-Cola System and external partners—including consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers—you’ll oversee end-to-end project phases: from idea generation and concept development to proof of concept and market testing. Demonstrated expertise in innovating complex systems and fostering cross-functional relationships is essential. This is an individual contributor role.

What You’ll Do for Us 

  • Innovate: Shape the capabilities driving our next-gen package-less beverage solutions, spanning dispensed drinks and groundbreaking products.
  • Strategize: Engage in business discussions to chart our future, then craft the technical strategy ensuring essential capabilities.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with software and digital teams to prototype and integrate innovations.
  • Learn & Adapt: Share both successes and lessons learned as we develop business solutions.
  • Boundaryless Innovation: Foster cross-organizational innovation in dispensed products.
  • Tomorrow’s Tech: Create the technologies propelling the Coca-Cola Company forward.
  • Effective Communication: Convey program deliverables, risks, schedules, and budgets to business leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Keep relevant parties informed about work status.
  • Continuous Growth: Stay updated on industry trends through training and partner coordination.
  • Travel: Up to 25% (typically no more than 10%).

Qualification & Requirements 

Minimum Education:  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited program (or equivalent credentials from non-US institution).

Related Work Experience:  Minimum of 10 years in a related innovation or design field, with strong knowledge of integrated systems development.

Technical Skills:

  • Integrator: Seamlessly blend disparate technologies (EE, Fluid Handling, Software) into cohesive innovations.
  • Team Success: Proven track record of team-driven innovation delivery.
  • Design Acumen: Proficient in design tools and methodologies (DFMEA, DVP&R, Agile).
  • Stakeholder Value: Communicate technology value to diverse stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Prototype Mastery: Fabricate and assess working prototypes against technical requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Select and manage relationships with suppliers for proper capabilities and compliance.
  • Problem Solver: Identify gaps, analyze data, and implement technical solutions.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with Creo, Matlab, Python, and Adobe Creative.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of NSF, UL, ETL, or FCC regulations is advantageous.

Pay Range:

$120,000 - $149,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
