Data Migrations Developer

We are seeking a skilled SQL Data Migrations Developer to join our dynamic and growing team in our Legal & Insolvency Division. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a large scale project aimed at migrating a global client base from multiple legacy applications into a single global Azure SaaS product. 
You will collaborate closely with your team to design efficient, high-volume migration solutions. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as production migrations will frequently occur outside standard hours.
This role demands a highly proactive professional who thrives on self-motivation, driving innovation, and fostering continuous improvement within the team.
Experience in Insolvency or Financial Services is highly advantageous and will be considered a strong asset for this position.

• Developing data migrations solutions. 
• Gathering requirements and analyse them with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Performing QA testing of the application before customer UAT.
• Producing required metrics for customer acceptance and migration process management.
• Tracking, analysing and solving migration issues identified during UAT.
• Planning and executing production migration cutovers.

• Minimum 2.1 degree in IT or an equivalent technical subject.
• Minimum 5 years experience working within a SQL Developer role or similar.
• Minimum 5 years working on ETL Data Migrations.
• Minimum 3 years working in Azure SQL environments in a SQL Development capacity.
• Advanced skills in T-SQL, MS SQL Server, ETL and  Migration Development, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Advanced Microsoft Excel are required.
• Skills in Azure DevOps, GIT Source Control, Jira, Confluence, mySQL are highly desirable.
• Skills in SSRS & Power BI, SSAS, SQL Utilities such as Redgate as well as other development expericence including C#, VB .NET, PHP, web applications development are desirable.
• Experience in technical delivery on large scale projects.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge and experience of Agile processes and practices
