Your Opportunity
As an Intern/ Co-op based in our Cincinnati, OH office, you will work on a team and have exposure to water resources related projects from planning and design through construction and implementation. Our projects involve flood protection and risk reduction, dams and river diversions, land development, stream restoration, and other aspects of civil engineering. Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken water resources and other civil engineering courses. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support a number of exciting local and national projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Candidate will assist engineering and scientific staff with tasks such as:
- Data processing and management using GIS to support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Preparing spreadsheets, graphs, and figures for design reports.
- Preparing design and construction plans, specifications, quantity take-offs and construction estimates.
- Assisting with field work for data collection, site inspections and observations.
- Building surface models in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Supporting Project Managers with various tasks to advance and track project progress.
Internship is with the local Water Resources group, but there may be opportunities to assist in other disciplines in the office / region such as Geotechnical, Transportation, and Environmental Services.
