UPCOMING: Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. This role will focus on enhancing our Engineering Team’s efforts in delivering high-quality software. The ideal candidate has a passion for quality testing automation and is a self-starter with a proactive work ethic. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and be a key player in driving our continuous integration, troubleshooting software issues, and developing innovative solutions to ensure the highest standards of quality assurance for our products.

In this role, you will:

• Drive the software quality assurance lifecycle within our Agile process, from end to end test strategy design to timely release execution
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, executing thorough automated tests, including UI and functional tests on real devices and emulators
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and test new features, focusing on optimal test coverage and high-quality outcomes
• Review and analyze test results, report and track issues, and enhance automated CI flows
• Stay current with industry trends in test automation and contribute to team growth through mentoring

We would love to hear from you if:

• You hold a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or have equivalent work experience with a strong technical background
• You have 5+ years of experience in QA automation or software development, with proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and SQL
• You excel in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills
• You show expertise in creating and maintaining end-to-end functional tests, including mobile and web application testing
• You are skilled in Git, familiar with CI tools like Jenkins and GitLab, and experienced with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Cypress, as well as frameworks like Postman, Appium, and JUnit
• You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, understand Agile methodologies, SDLC principles, and microservices architecture, and can write clean, maintainable, and scalable code

We'd be particularly thrilled if you bring startup experience or have worked in the AI, ML, voice, or search technology domains.

This role is available throughout Canada. Employees within a 100-kilometer radius of our Toronto office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled “core days” each month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration. Aside from these office-specific “core days,” this job allows for virtual/remote, hybrid, and in-office workplace setting options.
