Role Overview :

At the forefront of crafting a pioneering data platform to transform customer experiences for renowned brands such as Gucci, Levi’s, Starbucks, and Marriott Hotels & Resorts, we are keen to appoint an accomplished Principal Analytics Engineer in Poland. This role is designed for a leader eager to architect, enhance, and refine scalable and resilient data pipelines, reports, and dashboards, contributing significantly to our analytics evolution.
As a Principal Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding the Analytics Engineering team, providing extensive technical leadership, and supporting the Head of Analytics Engineering. Your responsibilities will include leading strategic initiatives, enhancing collaboration with global cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely data-driven insights. Utilizing sophisticated tools such as dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and Tableau, this position requires excellent English communication skills for effective international collaboration.

What you will do :

• Act as a cornerstone of the Analytics Engineering function's technical leadership, supporting the Head of Analytics Engineering in strategic direction, technical standard setting, and innovation.

• Architect, develop, and maintain sophisticated data models and ELT processes within a data mesh framework, applying your Python skills for advanced data pipeline development and automation, adhering to best practices using dbt and Snowflake.

• Emphasize data quality and governance in the design and maintenance of our organizational data model, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of our data assets across the board.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with global teams, using superior English communication skills to translate analytical requirements into scalable, modular data products, enhancing our agility and intelligence and promoting a self-service ethos.

• Provide expert mentorship to Insight Analysts on complex analytics projects, securing access to clean and reliable data for thorough analysis and experimentation.

• Champion the creation, sustenance, and enhancement of documentation, testing, and best practices for dbt pipelines, fostering knowledge sharing and the sustainability of robust solutions.

• Proactively monitor, optimize, and innovate data pipelines in dbt and Snowflake, balancing cost-efficiency with the business's data timeliness needs.

• Lead the development and enforcement of comprehensive data governance policies, focusing on data quality, lineage, and metadata management, to maintain the integrity and reliability of our data assets.

Who you are :

• A solid academic foundation in computer science, information systems, engineering, machine learning, or another quantitative discipline, supported by substantial commercial experience and Python programming expertise.

• Demonstrated capability in technical leadership within Analytics Engineering, with extensive background in using dbt and developing self-serve solutions.

• An exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts in English to an international audience, with a proven track record in shaping requirements and achieving impactful outcomes.

• A detail-oriented mindset and a reputation for maintaining high standards in your work, underscored by your significant contributions to technical leadership and the analytics function.
