Position Overview 

We are looking for motivated DevOps engineers who is fluent in spoken and written English and who can innovate rapidly in the changing landscape of social media and join our team onsite in Berlin. 

This role has the following responsibilities 

• Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based development and production systems 
• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems 
• Extension and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems 
• Establishing lean implementations to collect metrics and business KPIs  
• Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products. 
• System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms 
• Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements and overseeing their implementation 
• Work with Piano’s global IT team to provide local support to the Berlin based team 

We are looking for candidates with at least three years of working experience in: 

• AWS services 
• Containerization, specifically Docker and Kubernetes 
• Linux systems operation and troubleshooting 

We also expect candidates to have two or more years of experience in using the following or equivalent tools 

• Prometheus / Grafana / Loki 
• Ansible 
• Terraform / Terragrunt 

Experience with the following is a plus 

• Experience with web-content delivery architectures  
• ElasticSearch / Opensearch 
• Relational database systems and Key-Value stores, Postgres is preferable 
• Working in a multinational setup and with team members in different locations
