Senior backend engineer - Java

What you need to know about the role- Design, develop and maintain key risk management product features targeted towards availability performance and scalability of PayPal services in the risk platform Meet our team: You would be working as part of Risk platform team which focuses on reducing the risk in the payment space and offering protections to both buyers and sellers. You would be providing data to build large AI/ML analytical models and use them in real time at scale.

Your way to impact:

You would be building microservices to assess the risk in the payment transaction space. Your knowledge and experience in building scalable web services written optimally would protect vulnerable customers from fraudulent payment transactions. 

Your day to day:

• Working with architects in designing/refactoring micro services 

• Developing new features requested by product teams 

• Generating and exposing data to build new AI/ML models 

• Write lot of Unit tests and functional tests 

• Own and support the microservices you are responsible for 

What do you need to bring:

• 8+ yrs of hands-on experience in Java, REST, Sprint boot 

• Strong design skills 

• A good team spirits 

• A good understanding in SQL 

• Good experience with  CI/CD pipeline concepts 

• Lot of passions and innovative spirit.
