Senior Project Manager/Senior Scrum Master

Location: Ukraine

Department: Delivery Management Project (O.Shedin) Team

N-iX is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master for a hybrid, multi-stream role that combines account management support, agile team leadership, SAFe consulting, and end-to-end delivery of solution-based projects. The role spans staff augmentation engagements and solution delivery in a sophisticated multi-vendor enterprise environment, requiring someone who can establish robust delivery frameworks, coach teams to excellence, and advise the client on scaled agile practices. A solid technical understanding of IT is essential, as the managed streams have a significant technical component.

Responsibilities:

End-to-End Solution Project Delivery

  • Supervise solution-based projects across the full lifecycle: Discovery, MVP, first release, and support
  • Lead end-to-end project management applying PMP-grade practices: scope, schedule, budget, and risk management
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, and resource allocation strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies and multi-vendor deliverables
  • Ensure project milestones align with strategic business objectives

Scrum Master – Agile Team Leadership

  • Act as Scrum Master for one development team, with potential extension to a second team
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and enable teams to achieve optimal velocity
  • Coach cross-functional teams on agile principles while maintaining project governance
  • Establish and track team-level performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Balance team autonomy with delivery accountability

SAFe Consulting

  • Consult the client on SAFe implementation — the teams operate within a larger SAFe environment
  • Support PI planning, ART-level coordination, and management of cross-team dependencies
  • Drive organizational agile maturity through systematic process optimization
  • Design and continuously improve hybrid delivery frameworks that balance agile flexibility with project predictability

Account Management Support – Staff Augmentation

  • Support account management of staff augmentation teams for an enterprise client
  • Monitor team health, utilization, and client satisfaction; manage ramp-ups, rotations, and escalations
  • Contribute to account governance cadence, including status reporting and periodic service reviews
  • Facilitate collaboration in multi-vendor environments, ensuring seamless integration of deliverables

Technical Environment

  • Maintain a strong technical dialogue with architects and engineers; the role requires good technical understanding of IT
  • Operate confidently in a complex enterprise environment: understand system landscapes, integrations, and cross-system dependencies
  • Assess technical risks and dependencies across streams and factor them into planning and decision-making

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans
  • Present project status, metrics, and strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Build trust through consistent delivery and transparent, proactive communication

Requirements:

Experience

  • 5+ years combined experience in project management and Scrum Master roles
  • Proven track record of delivering solution-based projects end-to-end — from Discovery through MVP, first release, and support
  • Hands-on Scrum Master experience; experience working within a SAFe environment (PI planning, ART coordination)
  • Experience in staff augmentation or managed services delivery models, including account management exposure
  • Background in multi-vendor environment coordination and governance
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies in hybrid environments
  • Experience establishing development processes from the ground up

Technical Knowledge

  • Good general technical understanding of IT: SDLC, software architecture concepts, integrations, and DevOps/CI-CD practices
  • Understanding of modern component library development (React, Angular, or similar) — nice to have
  • Knowledge of enterprise data management and system integration — nice to have
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Monday.com, etc.)
  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect) — nice to have

AI Skills (applied to Management)

  • Advanced, hands-on use of GenAI in management workflows: building reusable prompts, custom assistants, and automated pipelines for reporting, planning, risk analysis, and documentation
  • Experience designing and rolling out AI-augmented delivery processes at team level (e.g., AI-assisted backlog refinement, estimation support, retrospective analysis, meeting intelligence)
  • Familiarity with agentic AI tools and AI-assisted engineering practices (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor) — enough to lead teams that use them and to measure their impact on velocity and quality
  • Ability to evaluate AI use cases, define adoption metrics, and advise the client on AI-enabled process improvements
  • Sound judgment on responsible AI use in a client context: data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance constraints

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellence in both traditional project management and agile methodologies
  • Exceptional analytical skills with ability to design and interpret performance metrics
  • Outstanding communication and executive presentation abilities
  • Leadership presence with ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Strategic thinking balanced with operational excellence
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in complex environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • SAFe certification (SAFe Scrum Master / SAFe Agilist) or demonstrable SAFe implementation experience
  • Technical background (prior engineering or similar hands-on IT role) — a strong plus
  • Experience in technology consulting environments
  • Background in enterprise software development for industrial or manufacturing sectors

We offer*:

  • Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible
  • A competitive salary and good compensation package
  • Personalized career growth
  • Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more)
  • Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing
  • Education reimbursement
  • Memorable anniversary presents
  • Corporate events and team buildings
  • Other location-specific benefits
