Technical Project Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Project Manager with expertise in storage assessments, procurement assistance/management, server allocation/sizing, and asset management to join our team. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects related to storage assessments, procurement processes, server resource optimization, and ongoing asset management, ensuring the efficient utilization of resources and the successful delivery of technical solutions to meet the organization's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct storage assessments to evaluate current storage infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for optimizing storage resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project objectives, and develop project plans for storage assessment initiatives.
• Provide procurement assistance and management support to designated procurement lead, throughout the procurement process to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Manage true-up processes for server allocation and sizing based on alerts and reporting data, ensuring that server resources are appropriately allocated and sized to meet business demands.
• Oversee ongoing asset management activities related to storage and procurement focus areas, including hosting asset technical detail management, auditing, and maintenance of tagged services.
• Develop and implement asset management processes and procedures to ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and maintenance of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate with IT teams to conduct regular audits of tagged services, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
• Track project progress, monitor timelines, and manage risks and issues to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Communicate project status updates, issues, and risks to stakeholders, including senior management, and provide recommendations for course correction as needed.
• Foster a collaborative and productive working environment, providing leadership and support to project team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements for future projects.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, preferably with expertise in storage assessments, procurement management, and server allocation.
• Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure deployment and cloud computing principles.
• Utilize expertise in AWS infrastructure deployment to facilitate the implementation of cloud-based solutions and optimize system performance.
• Familiarity with Windows server administration and networking concepts to elaborate system maintenance and troubleshooting activities to clients and stakeholder.
• Have a basic understanding of networking concepts including VPN, RDG setup, and VPC to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, track progress, and manage budgets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in SQL Server administration, including database maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience with asset management tools and practices.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
