Software Engineer

Developing APIs for services deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, with a focus on developing scalable and efficient APIs. You will play a crucial role in our team, working closely with other developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to create service components within our Index platform.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and robust Python APIs.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features and services on AWS.

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

- Work with development platform automation and tools to streamline development processes.

- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) for reliable and repeatable cloud environment setups.

- Write comprehensive unit tests and API mocks to validate functionality and ensure software reliability.

- Contribute to the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and integration.

- Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and Agile/Scrum activities.

- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in API development and AWS services.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience as a Python Developer with a strong background in API development. - Experience with AWS services and deploying applications in the AWS cloud.

- Familiarity with development platform automation and modern CI/CD tools.

- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.

- Proficiency in test automation, writing unit tests, and using API mocks.

- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
