Product Security Engineer

The Product Security Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing robust security frameworks to protect our software and infrastructure. This role involves conducting regular security assessments, including penetration testing and code reviews, to identify and address vulnerabilities. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices throughout the software lifecycle, ensuring that all products meet the highest security standards before deployment.

In this role, you’ll: 

• Conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security weaknesses across our platform.

• Integrate security protocols and standards into the software development lifecycle to ensure robust and secure product releases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and enhance security features within product designs.

• Analyze and apply findings from static and dynamic application security testing to enhance system security continuously.

We’re looking for candidates who have:  

• Java, Javascript, or Python coding experience

• Experience using and building Terraform modules for Infrastructure-as-code

• Secure coding practices to ensure consistent and security coding practices across languages and platforms.

• Pentesting and vulnerabilities assessment using tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, or OWASP ZAP.

• Security Protocols and Standards knowledge, including Encryption, Hashing, and Digital Signatures

• Manual and Automated Static Application Security Testing (SAST) experience

• Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) experience

• REST API security experience against common attacks such as injection, broken authentication, data exposure, and PII exposure

• Software Dependency Management experience, open-source and 3rd party libraries, to ensure using secure and approved components

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to have experience: 

• CI/CD Pipeline experience to assess, build, automate a Secure CI/CD pipeline
