Shape the future of client onboarding by building integration solutions that help customers adopt products faster and more reliably. Make your mark by combining hands-on software engineering with real-world problem solving alongside product, engineering, and client stakeholders. Join a team where you can grow your technical depth, strengthen your client-facing skills, and deliver outcomes that directly improve customer experience.

As a Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Client Engineering team, you will build and deliver technical integrations that help clients onboard faster and achieve successful outcomes. You will translate client needs into scalable integration solutions, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guidance. You will collaborate with product and engineering partners to improve adoption, reliability, and client experience across the integration lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build reusable client integration components and reference implementations across the product portfolio to reduce onboarding time and operational risk.
  • Translate client business requirements into clear technical specifications, integration designs, and delivery plans aligned to product capabilities.
  • Enable clients to configure, integrate, and onboard successfully through hands-on implementation support and guided technical workshops.
  • Create and maintain integration guidance, including application programming interface usage patterns, setup instructions, and troubleshooting playbooks.
  • Troubleshoot client technical issues by reproducing problems, debugging in staging and development environments, and driving resolution with engineering partners.
  • Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to remove adoption blockers and improve the end-to-end client experience.
  • Validate integration quality by participating in release activities, testing, and quality assurance checks that reduce defects impacting clients.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, setting expectations and documenting decisions.
  • Capture product gaps and enhancement requests from client engagements and champion prioritized improvements with internal stakeholders.
  • Apply enterprise-authorized artificial intelligence-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, test creation, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness and security.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on coding ability and strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to read, write, and maintain software across multiple programming languages.
  • Experience integrating Representational State Transfer application programming interfaces and implementing event-driven integrations (for example, webhooks).
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in technical delivery or support environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present solutions clearly to varied audiences.
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized artificial intelligence-assisted software development tools, with ability to validate and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible artificial intelligence usage in engineering workflows, including secure handling of inputs and outputs and alignment to resiliency and security expectations.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills (0–7 points)

  • Experience with Java Virtual Machine-based development (for example, Java and Kotlin).
  • Experience building cloud-native services and deploying to more than one cloud environment.
  • Prior client-facing or solution engineering experience supporting onboarding and integrations.
  • Experience creating developer documentation or integration playbooks for external users.
  • Familiarity with scalable integration patterns, observability, and production support practices.
