Senior Frontend Developer

About the Team:

This is an opportunity to develop performant and scalable SPAs for our many brokerage platforms. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and our design team to deliver brokerage web app applications to our diverse client base of over 2 million users. This role requires five days of in-office attendance each week.

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR: 

• Design and build scalable web applications within the VueJs ecosystem (VueJs, Vuex, Pinia, Vite, Cypress, webpack)
• Owning and building high-traffic applications with a focus on speed and user experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues and peers to ideate, plan, and organize large-scale projects.
• Contribute and help maintain our company-wide Vue UI Component Library
• Aid in Vue3 transition
• Set direction and partner with other front-end engineers to implement new technologies
• Work with a team of intelligent, intense and fast-moving co-workers.

Which skills are required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related area
• 3+ years of commercial software development experience, with an emphasis on single-page web app development
• Hands-on experience with at least one JavaScript framework - React.js/Vue.js/Angular.js (we are Vue.js fans, so Vue.js is a plus!)
• Highly proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS/LESS.
• Maintain high code quality standards, functional specification documentation, and deliverables.
• Experience integrating 1st and 3rd party APIs.
• Experience working with webpack and Vite.
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude and technical orientation are required. 
• The ability to pay attention to detail
