This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to identify defects, verify functionality, and maintain a high standard of product excellence. The role monitors testing progress, analyzes results, and makes informed decisions based on testing outcomes. This position ensures the delivery of software that meets user expectations and industry standards, by collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Design quality assurance and test processes for subsystems of end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.
• Analyze design and determines test scripts, coding, automation, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
• Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application.
• Identify, debug, and create solutions for issues with code and integration into software and firmware architecture.
• Perform code reviews and participate in design discussions to identify potential quality issues.
• Analyze testing processes and suggest improvements for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of QA activities.
• Lead a project team of other software quality assurance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable and cost-effective testing and quality assurance solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem.
• Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding test status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Represent the software quality assurance team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Bachelor's or Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or in similar field.
• 4+ years of work experience, preferably in software quality assurance, test harnesses and QA focused tools, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

• Ability to solve complex issues.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.
• High sense of accountability for quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Ability to deliver on multiple projects and manage priorities based on changing directions.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills
• Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity.
