Job Summary
• This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to identify defects, verify functionality, and maintain a high standard of product excellence. The role monitors testing progress, analyzes results, and makes informed decisions based on testing outcomes. The role ensures the delivery of software that meets user expectations and industry standards, by collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
• Designs quality assurance and test processes for subsystems of end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.
• Analyzes design and determines test scripts, coding, automation, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
• Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application.
• Identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into software and firmware architecture.
• Performs code reviews and participates in design discussions to identify potential quality issues.
• Analyzes testing processes and suggests improvements for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of QA activities.
• Leads a project team of other software quality assurance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable and cost-effective testing and quality assurance solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding test status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Represents the software quality assurance team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in software quality assurance, test harnesses and QA focused tools, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

Preferred Certifications
• Certified Software Quality Engineer
• Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ)
• Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE)

Knowledge & Skills
Exposure to scripting tools on both windows and linux platforms
Good understanding of Android platform & behaviour
Hands on experience in Test Planning, Strategy & Execution.
Experience in Android device Testing (functional/Non-Functional), Feature unit testing, Automation, Stability & Regression
Experience in Test automation tools
Exposure & Experience in Google Compliance(XTS) testsetup & execution
Exposure to VOC issue collation, triaging & reproduction
Experience in integration & execution of OSLV/code Quality Analysis Tools, 
Experience in Competitive benchmarking for feature & camera quality
Exposure to memory analysis/leak/power/thermal/performance testing & corresponding profiling tools ex:perfetto.
Exposure to usage of AI assisted log analysis and tool creations
Quick learner of new concepts with a creative mindset
Exposure to bug tracking systems ex: JIRA
Ability to review requirements and design towards generating unit test cases
Collaborate with stakeholders towards prioritization & risk identification of issues observed
