About the role:

The person will be located in Bucharest.

We are looking for a Senior Optimization Developer to join our Web Optimization team. In this role you will be responsible for web development supporting business objectives while providing senior-level experience in software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to development.

What you will do in the role:

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Plan, develop, and execute A/B tests using Adobe Target to evaluate the effectiveness of website changes, features, and campaigns.
  • Design test variations and segmentation strategies to target specific audience segments and maximize test effectiveness.
  • Implement test setups, including configuring audience targeting, setting up test variations, and defining success metrics and tracking.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, trends, and advancements in A/B testing methodologies, Adobe Target capabilities, and optimization techniques.
  • Troubleshoot front end performance issues related to tagging and testing using JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  • Recommend, develop, and implement process improvements in Adobe Target usage, and in development lifecycle (build processes, version control, handoff to AEM team), not limited to the current technology stack
  • Support and mentor other developers, assisting to debug issues as a team whenever possible
  • Collaborate in grooming meetings and other Agile ceremonies, providing feedback on LOE and feasibility of requirements for each ticket
  • Provide prompt and adequate support to Optimization Leads on any technical issues, bugs or clarification needed.
  • Collaborate effectively and promptly with QA Engineers, fixing defects and delivering complete tasks as per requirements

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any other related marketing field or four or more years of work experience.
  • 5+ years experience as frontend Web developer, and at least 2 years experience with Adobe Target development.
  • Knowledge of Marketing technology stack with focus on content personalization solutions.
  • Proficiency in web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
  • “Nice to have” development skills: Python, NodeJS, React, or similar
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in test setup and analysis.
  • Development lifecycle: Must be very familiar with stakeholder and QA engineer collaboration, Scrum ceremonies, Version control, code review processes, unit testing
  • Experience in partnering with Business and IT teams at multiple levels to drive alignment and delivery of complex problems.
  • Experience in leading Adobe target implementations across Web properties.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams like product owners, technologies teams, and marketing partners.
  • Communication, project management and strategic thinking skills along with strong technical experience along with ability to communicate complex concepts effectively

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be creative, self-directed, motivated, and collaborative; also, you must be comfortable in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates creative, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Able to work with distributed team members under Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Certifications: Adobe Target Professional Certification (preferred)

  • Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with other Optimization developers, Optimization leads, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
