Job Description Summary

The Program Manager is accountable for end-to-end ownership of customer hardware and associated programs in a shop environment. This role leads cross-functional coordination to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations are met, while serving as a technical and quality resource for the team. The Program Manager will manage customer communication, schedules, and execution plans to ensure hardware moves through the shop on time and to standard.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • · Own the customer program, including all communication,
  • meetings, schedules, and status updates for internal and
  • external customers Coordinate across a cross-functional team
  • (manu facturing, quality, engineering, sourcing, planning, etc.)
  • in the shop to meet customer schedule, cost, yield, and
  • quality expectations.
  • · Oversee hardware flow through the shop, ensuring all required
  • processes are followed, documentation is current, and operations
  • are executed in the correct order.
  • · Ensure timely deliveries by proactively managing constraints,
  • escalating risks, and driving problem solving to keep work on plan.
  • · Maintain and update process owners with current drawings,
  • routings, work instructions, technical plans, and associated files
  • required to execute customer hardware.
  • · Own project budgets within area of responsibility, including
  • forecasting needs, tracking actuals, and identifying improvement
  • opportunities for productivity and cost.
  • · Drive completion of technical plans, including coordination of
  • required reviews, sign-offs, and configuration control.
  • · Serve as a best-practice and quality resource in the discipline,
  • with awareness of latest technical developments in own area and
  • how they impact program execution.
  • · Apply in-depth knowledge of shop and program management best
  • practices, understanding how own area integrates with others and
  • how GE Aerospace differentiates itself versus competition.
  • · Use sound judgment and data-driven analysis to make decisions
  • and solve moderately complex problems in operational/product
  • management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
  • · Take new perspectives on existing solutions, leveraging technical
  • experience to analyze data, develop recommendations, and
  • influence decisions using multiple internal and limited external sources.
  • · Act as a resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience;
  • may lead small to medium projects with moderate risk and
  • resource requirements.
  • · Explain difficult or sensitive information in a clear way; work to build
  • consensus and alignment across stakeholders.
  • · Develop and apply persuasion skills to influence others on topics
  • within the field and to drive adherence to program plans.
  • · Ensure project hardware is properly completed to customer,
  • regulatory, and GE Aerospace standards, including adherence to
  • applicable quality systems and documentation requirements.
  • · Support and model GE Aerospace Behaviors: Respect for
  • People, Continuous Improvement, and Customer-Driven execution,
  • always with unyielding integrity.

Required Qualifications

  • · Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance (e.g., DoD)
  • · Bachelors Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in
  • program, project, manufacturing, or operations management;

  • Desired Qualifications

  • · Active or previous U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
  • · Strong background in GE quality systems and aerospace quality
  • standards such and / or  AS9000 Nadcap.
  • · Deep understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) and SPS systems,
  • including practical experience deploying and sustaining these
  • processes in a manufacturing or repair environment.
  • · Experience managing hardware programs in an aerospace or
  • defense manufacturing shop environment.
  • · Proven track record of coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver
  • on safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • · Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, routings, and
  • work instructions, and translate them into executable shop plans.
  • · Strong communication, stakeholder management, and
  • customer-facing skills.
  • · Demonstrated experience in lean/continuous improvement, daily
  • management, and problem solving to improve schedule adherence,
  • yield, and cost.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
