About the Role
Game District is looking for a Senior Game Developer – Unity to join one of our game development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Unity and C#, a solid understanding of game development fundamentals, and the ability to build, optimize, and maintain high-quality 2D and 3D mobile games.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality 2D and 3D games using Unity and C#.
- Develop gameplay systems, mechanics, UI, animations, physics, and other game features.
- Write clean, scalable, optimized, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with Game Designers, Artists, QA, and other developers to implement game features.
- Optimize games for performance, memory usage, loading times, and overall stability, particularly for mobile devices.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
- Integrate third-party SDKs, APIs, analytics, advertisements, and in-app purchases.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to improving development practices and workflows.
- Stay updated with current Unity features, game development practices, and mobile gaming trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in Unity game development.
- Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming.
- Strong hands-on experience with Unity Engine and its core systems.
- Strong understanding and practical application of SOLID principles.
- Experience developing and shipping mobile games.
- Strong understanding of game development concepts, including gameplay programming, physics, UI, animation, and optimization.
- Experience working with Git/version control systems.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced game development environment.
