Senior Data Scientist- Team Lead

The Role

As a Senior Manager of Data Science team in FFIO Advanced Analytics team you will be responsible to collaborate with business product leaders and teams to evaluate manual business processes which can be simplified or made efficient using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques and algorithms. You will be managing a small team of data scientists in the US and in India. This team will identify use cases, explore various AIML modeling techniques, design and deliver high value AI/ML solutions to improve operational efficiency.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 5-7 + years of prior work experience as a data analyst, data scientist.

• Deep understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms.

• Hands on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, chain of thought prompting, Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF), training the models one shot, few shot learning techniques.

• Expertise working with NLP classification, summarization, and semantic parsing.

• Data science programming skills, such as Python and R.

• Experience with technology platforms such as Snowflake AWS and Oracle RDS

• Ability to partner closely with a diverse set of business collaborators to identify needs and deliver AI/ML solutions.

• Experience in planning, prioritizing, and delivering in a Scaled Agile environment.

• Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills to work with multiple teams across the organization.

• Strong focus on execution and identify, communicate, and remove impediments to progress.

• Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity.

• Ability to drive advanced analytics work, collaborate with FFIO AI COE and FFIO LLM COE.

• Passionate about staying current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and eager to drive innovation.

The Team

Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) technology team crafts and maintains technology solutions and products that enable FFIO to provide accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity fund management and shareholders. Advanced Analytics team is responsible for providing thought-leadership by generating effective insights to improve business excellence using data science techniques.

At Fidelity, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we’re calling “Dynamic Working”. Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity work location for at least one week, 5 consecutive days, every four weeks. These requirements are subject to change.
