We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Full Stack Software Engineering to join our team in Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT). You will lead multiple squads of engineers to develop new software solutions on highly strategic initiatives in our Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management area, for our Custom Separately Managed Accounts (CSMA) customers.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
• You are expert level on a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks, database technologies, and test automation frameworks.  9/10+ years of experience in developing software working with Java, Springboot, Python, AWS Lambda’s, REST APIs, Swagger, Postgres, SQL, and Selenium.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS cloud deployment/application management.
• You have expert level technical leadership experience leading and mentoring multiple scrum teams and squads focused on building software solutions for business critical, architecturally distributed solutions.
• You are very experienced at architecting and producing highly strategic technical designs and solutions and working with multiple squads to break these down into deliverable pieces of work.
• Strong experience in designing and building cloud-based solutions.
• Strong experience using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
• Strong experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub.
• You have excellent communication skills and technical expertise to drive and influence partners across business and architecture on strategic goals.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience of Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams.

• A track record of mentoring multiple technical squads and teams.
• Providing technical and organizational leadership and are quick to establish and use relationships to deliver excellent results.

We strive to achieve this by meticulously crafting, building, and upkeeping the technological infrastructure and products within Fidelity’s Institutional (FI) business units. Embedded within FIT, is the Managed & Advisory Solutions team, an integral part of the broader FI Wealth Management Domain, which is dedicated to the creation and support of products facilitating managed product distribution, both on and off the platform.

As a vital member of this dynamic team, your role within FIT will focus on providing robust software engineering leadership and expertise for the high-paced Managed & Advisory Solutions team.
