You’ll be part of our FinOps & Data Analysis team

The FinOps & Data Analysis team consists of highly talented engineers, focused on FinOps and organizational data analysis, reporting directly to the DevOps & FinOps Director.The purpose of this role is to help the cloud platform department to maximize every dollar spent on the cloud and help speed delivery of our product. You will promote the FinOps principles which are a combination of systems, best practices, and culture designed to increase our company’s ability to understand cloud costs and manage trade-offs.
oversees the Cloud budget and a team responsible for optimization of the Cloud.

You will be Supporting the Cloud Engineering team and you will be executing the plan created specifically for that cloud engineering to reach our financial objectives. You will interact regularly with the cloud engineering team and the IT finance team and even take action to make changes to the Cybereason cloud account to execute your recommendations.

In this position you will

• You will be in charge of developing a robust program for cloud cost management that includes but is not limited to tagging framework and governance model, budgets and change management, cost optimization lifecycle.
• Hands-on cloud spend investigations, find opportunities to cut off cloud waste, working together with cloud engineering teams
• Create metrics, reports, and recommended remediation options and plans for financial excellence in the cloud
• You will work directly with GCP billing, while collaborating with engineering, Devops, Techops, product, and finance teams to provide deeper meaning to cost and usage data across our product.
• You will be a trusted liaison between engineering and finance; helping finance quantify the cost impacts of engineering operational decisions and helping engineering implement cost best practices throughout their stack.
• You will provide stakeholders in Engineering and Product with the tools to develop and measure cost related insights, metrics, and KPIs to help them better understand their products and how to build them more efficiently.

We are looking for

• Proven experience in Cloud Cost Management
• Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving
• Experience with GCP/AWS billing and cost management tools and processes.
• Knowledge of GCP/AWS services, architectures, and tools.
• 5+ years of DevOps experience, Monitoring and scripting skills (Python, Golang, Groovy, etc.) - a must
• Proven experience navigating complex data sets and pulling out insights
• Autodidact, ability to work independently with different teams 
• Excellent English – reading, and writing.
