Intern, Advanced Engineering

Location: Singapore

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Support optical prototyping and testing activities for lasers systems.
• Assist in optical component alignment, beam characterization, and system integration in laboratory settings.
• Conduct experiments and collect measurement data using optical instruments (e.g., spectrometers, power meters, oscilloscopes).
• Document experimental results, test procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to identify opportunities for performance improvement, yield enhancement, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in optical assembly and testing processes.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Diploma, or Bachelor’s, program in Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related discipline
• Exposure to Optics, or laser systems is a plus.

Skills Required
• Basic hands-on skills in laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and apply optical engineering concepts in real-world applications.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Advanced Engineering team. Candidates with a background in optics and lasers are preferred, and prior laboratory or simulation experience will be considered a plus. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in optical system alignment, testing, and troubleshooting, while contributing to real-world projects in laser development and manufacturing. The intern will work under the mentorship of experienced Optical Engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Electronics and Manufacturing Engineering.
