Junior Software Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Calero, the leading technology expense management solution for complex enterprises, is looking for an Associate Software Engineer in the UK.  Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will acquire knowledge and develop basic skills while performing routine technical work. The engineer learns and applies best practices and standard procedures as a member of an agile development team.

 ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITES

• Acquires knowledge and skills of domain programming language(s) 
• Performs small or well-defined programming tasks 
• Learns and applies best practices and standard procedures
• Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience 
• Debugs own code with limited support 
• Executes and monitors automated tests 
• Performs manual verification and regression tests 
• Pair programs with more senior members of the team

 EDUCATION/SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience preferred

 EXPERIENCE

• Co-op or other experience as a software engineer 
• Background in object-oriented programming 

 SKILLS

• Experience in relevant technologies currently in use:
  • Java
  • JavaScript
  • MS T-SQL
