Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer and Program Manager to join our dynamic team in St. Louis, MO!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing quality engineering, quality inspection, and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality Management System.
  • Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements.
  • Develops team members quality skills and application to ensure robust Quality Operating System and personnel growth.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical field (i.e. engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or similar)
  • More than 1 year of experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing processes and organizations
  • More than 3 years of advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with statistics and data analysis and presenting the results
  • Experience in root cause corrective action and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • Experience in process improvement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Skill and ability to collect, organize, analyze and synthesize data; summarize findings; develop recommendations for executive consumption and execute plans.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Experience with system engineering / quality engineering.
  • Experience with surveillance and compliance audits.
  • Knowledge of quality systems (e.g., quality requirements, inspection process, Boeing quality procedures).

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
