How will you make an impact in this role?

In this role, the Senior Engineer for Broadcom software packages (Clarity & Rally) will lead and contribute to feature development and delivery as part of an Agile team that configures and integrates enterprise solutions fulfilling the business needs of Technology Business Management (TBM) operations, inclusive of Strategic Portfolio Management, Agile Management, Business & Vendor Management, and Technology Workforce Management for American Express Technologies. This role includes COTS configuration of “Value Ops” software packages offered by Broadcom, and middleware engineering for integration of these packages with other enterprise applications to automate cross system workflows and drive process efficiencies. This role partners closely with our portfolio and agile product teams to coordinate around the feature roadmaps and helps to design solutions and size work efforts for optimal outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or field related degree. 
• 5+ years of experience with Broadcom Clarity software installation & configuration
• 5+ years of experience integrating Broadcom Clarity software with other platforms.
• 5 + years experienced with web application development and integration. 
• Design, development, testing, deploying, supporting, debugging.
• 5+ years of experience integrating systems using APIs (SOAP/REST)
• Knowledge of major API management and service bus / message platforms is a plus.
• 3 + years of experience in managing and coding within relational databases such as inclusive of Oracle (SQL & PL/SQL), and SQL Server (T-SQL)
• 3 + years of experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, .Net, XML/XSL, GEL Scripts.
• 3 + Experience coaching, mentoring, and guiding Junior Engineers in all aspects of the job.
• Experience with enterprise logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, & Dynatrace.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, features, and user stories.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture design principles, execution patterns and performance optimization.
• Experience using cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and containerization technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of common Portfolio Management processes and practices within a large enterprise (Demand & Capacity Management, IT Financial management, Forecasting and Actuals Budgeting, Value Ops Management).
• Experience using, configuring, integrating Broadcom's Rally software.
• Experience using, configuring, integrating Atlassian’s Jira Software.
