ServiceNow Sr. Developer

Summary of Position:

ServiceNow Senior Developer will be responsible for technical specification design, development, technical solutions leveraging ServiceNow out of box solutions as well as ServiceNow platform/app engine technology frameworks. This individual will collaborate closely with ServiceNow Technical Lead, business analysts, product owners, project managers, testers, and developers on the day-to-day activities of working on stories for understanding business requirements, developing technical specifications, coding and configuration as per established best practices, hold show-back sessions for the assigned stories.

Key Responsibilities:

• ServiceNow Application Development: Develop technical specifications, understand technical specifications like flow designer, business rule, script include client script, UI Builder, etc. as appropriate associated with the requirements carry out the coding and configuration following the established coding best practices.
• Integration Development: Develop interfaces/API as per the technical specifications/design using the appropriate integration methodologies like ServiceNow Integration Hub, other supported methodologies like REST API, JDBC, Web Services as appropriate for the integration use cases. Create test data based on the integration test design, carryout integration testing in collaboration with the interfacing system technical SME’s.
• Automated Testing Framework Development: Develop Automated test framework (ATF) and maintain the same for end-to-end use cases for regression testing. Develop and maintain ATF for integration use cases.
• Leverage NOW Assist for Developers: Leverage NOW Assist for Developers to generate code using command for improved productivity. Contribute in develop and refinement of best practices around command to code for NOW Assist.
• Release and Deployment: Work on the update set management and deployment activities as part of release process to deploy the update sets across the different environments/instances as part of the SLDC process. Follow the appropriate update configuration management practice for enabling development in a multi-team environment.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or combination of education & experience required.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of developer experience in ServiceNow platform, with experience in different ServiceNow applications like ITSM, SPM, HRSD, IRM, Custom Application, SAM Pro, HAM Pro etc.
  • Experience working in DevOps model following agile methodology for implementation of complex enhancement requirements/stories in an enterprise wide ServiceNow implementation.
  • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer) certification is preferred
  • Few other ServiceNow product implementation specialist certification (ITSM, SPM, SAM Pro etc.) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business value through technology solutions.
  • Experience working in a cross cultural, global team environment is required.
  • Experience working in globally distributed scrum team following Agile best practices.
  • Understanding of the medical device and/or contact lens industry, working in validated environment covering CSA+, GxP and SOX relevant processes is an advantage.

Fluent in English - spoken and written. Additional language preferred. 

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
