What you can expect

The Big Data Team here at Zoom will allow you to work with other Big Data Engineers to ensure data ingestion and transformation occur smoothly. You will provide solutions for building large-scale data processing platforms as well. This team will design then implement highly effective automated methods to build and update Big Data infrastructure, as well as create advanced monitoring systems for the platform. Finally, you will drive issue resolutions by support to replicate issues and find root cause in development environment.

About the Team

We are looking for a Big Data Infrastructure Engineer with automation skills to design and implement smooth function of data pipeline. The successful candidate will be self-motivated to continuously find optimization and deliver excellent results leveraging various tools.

What we’re looking for

• Have a Bachelor's Degree or more in Computer Science or a related field

• 3+ years of experience as Big Data platform and infrastructure engineer

• Demonstrate experience with Python, shell scripting, and Java to automate infrastructure buildups and changes

• Able to manage and automate AWS services

• Display experience in Ansible, Terraform, Chef (or any infrastructure as code), and will learn new programming languages to meet goals

• Possess system design and implementation knowledge of towards infrastructure management

• Experience in Cloudera CDH/CDP platform or AWS Cloud Services, EC2, EMR

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
