With a proud blameless culture, Zip promotes learning and collaboration. The Quality Engineering team has a need for a Junior SDET with 1-2 years of experience in the Automation engineering space. The QA team works closely with the engineering, infra, and security teams to ensure the delivery of highest quality code and application software to our customers. Every individual on the team collaborates with members within and across different teams to ensure seamless integration and release.
The engineer will be responsible for owning feature specific testing; Writing documentation, communication with EMs, PMs, and Developers, Testing, writing Automation code, and QA Sign Off. They will also be expected to perform PR reviews and uphold best coding practices within our automation frameworks.

- Lead the Shift Left Process - Collaborate with PMs and EMs on Feature Documentation
- Own individual features from inception to release; Manual & Automation testing
- Tackle interesting automation challenges
- Innovate within the Automation space
- Collaborate extensively with Security and Infrastructure teams to come up with new ideas in automation
- Learn new technologies within Test-Infrastructure
- Be an Arbiter of key processes for Quality
- Be the voice of Quality across the organization
What you’ll bring to the team
- 1-2 years in TypeScript
- 1-2 years in Appium/Selenium/Playwright (Preferably Playwright & Appium)
- At least 2 years in Manual Testing
- At least 1 year in one of the key DevOps tools - Azure/GCP/Jenkins/CircleCI
- Basic knowledge in one of the testing platforms - Browserstack/Saucelabs etc
- At least 2 years in writing Test Documentation: Test Cases, Test Strategy doc, reviewing PRD
- A BS in computer science or a related degree is required.

The annual base Pay Range for this position is $104,000 - $110,000. This range reflects our US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our tiered premium strategy.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
