Your Role
Zip’s Search Platform is built on top of AWS Opensearch. It powers the Zip dashboards, AI (Zip Copilot), customer reporting, and more. As Zip's customer base grows rapidly, we are looking for a senior engineer to help improve the search platform scalability, indexing reliability, search performance, search developer experience, and so on.
You Will
- Drive the Search Platform roadmap and architecture design
- Improve the search indexing latency, reliability and scalability
- Work closely with Product teams and improve the search API ergonomics
Qualifications
- Over 4 years of software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, such as Physics or Mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability and eagerness to quickly learn new frameworks, architectural patterns, and programming languages as needed.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in designing and implementing Search systems or other distributed systems
The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
