As the Director of Product Design and UX Research at Zip, you will lead the charge in crafting exceptional user experiences for our consumer and merchant products, this includes but not limited to app design, UX research strategy, how we run design across ANZ and how the teams work together as a function.
You’ll have a relentless focus on building market leading digital experiences with a passion for data driven insights, and you’ll work closely with the rest of the product leadership team and colleagues across engineering, data, commercial, marketing and operations to deliver value for our customers.
This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of design principles, user research methodologies, and the unique challenges of financial services, as you’ll be developing the north-star vision and strategy for our product experiences.
We’re looking for someone who wants the whole team to succeed and is willing to pitch in to solve problems alongside the wider Product Leadership Team. Who is focused on optimising ways of working, product operations, how we get things to markets, rituals, best practices for Product Designer & Product Managers.
This role can be based out of either our Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD office and offers a hybrid working arrangement (minimum 2 days in office per week).

- 10 or more years’ experience in product design, gained from technology, payments or financial services companies committed to delivering great customer-focused outcomes
- Experience implementing design strategies and systems to deliver beautiful customer experiences
- Ridiculously good relationship skills with the ability to build consensus and action across our business
- A natural leader with a bias for action, who leads from the front and facilitates collaboration to achieve game-changing outcomes
- A proven leader with experience building, growing and leading high performing teams
- A team player that contributes beyond their domain and always thinks team first
- At home in a fast-paced environment and able to move with a sense of urgency, but sensitive enough to give people space/comfort to add suggestions
