The Rental Platform’s mission is to help development teams write, test, and deploy code quickly and confidently so that they can drive business value. We focus on delivering the best developer experience, prioritizing velocity while improving quality in order to enable the entire rental engineering organization to move quickly and efficiently.

We develop tools, libraries, and services to facilitate Java and JavaScript engineers in creating scalable and maintainable software within the rentals platform.

About the role

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Rental Platform, your primary role will be to design, develop, and maintain the core platform components and libraries of a robust and scalable software system. You will be responsible for implementing new features, enhancing existing functionalities, and optimizing performance to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will work on building internal tools to support the 150+ developers in the Rentals Engineering Org. Additionally, you will participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, monitoring, and deployment processes.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Proficiency in Java, React, Javascript/Typescript, Git
• Experience with SQL
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and building scalable systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Comfort jumping between both backend and frontend stacks
