About the team

Zillow Group has a renewed focus on increasing the number of users who transact (buying, selling or renting a home) through ZG's services. To better serve our customers, we need to better understand them and where they are in the process of buying, selling or renting a home. Therefore, an initiative has been launched to better track the customer journey. For this initiative to be successful, it is critical to know customer data and access it at the right time.

This team is building self-service capabilities that seek to provide the means to aggregate, transform and enrich customer data, ultimately providing access to data through offline, streaming and online storage to be used for various analytical and AI/ML purposes.

El Grupo Zillow tiene un enfoque renovado en aumentar el número de usuarios que realizan transacciones (compra, venta o alquiler de una vivienda) a través de los servicios de ZG. Para servir mejor a nuestros clientes, tenemos que entenderlos mejor y saber en qué punto del proceso de compra, venta o alquiler de una vivienda se encuentran. Por lo tanto, se ha puesto en marcha una iniciativa para realizar un mejor seguimiento del recorrido del cliente. Para que esta iniciativa tenga éxito, es fundamental conocer los datos de los clientes y acceder a ellos en el momento oportuno.

Este equipo está construyendo capacidades de autoservicio que buscan proporcionar los medios para agregar, transformar y enriquecer los datos de los clientes, proporcionando en última instancia acceso a los datos a través de almacenamiento offline, streaming y online para ser utilizados con diversos fines analíticos y de IA/ML.

About the role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the team you will :

• Design and build scalable streaming systems to orchestrate end-to-end storage, enrichment and event access.
• Collaborate with various internal teams (platform, product, ML engineering) to achieve and deliver tools that ensure system usability.
• Work with a variety of technologies such as Flink, Spark, Kafka, dbt, DynamoDB, AWS Transcribe, etc.
• Code with the best language for the job, be it - Java, Python, Go or Scala.

Como Ingeniero Senior de Desarrollo de Software en el equipo deberás :

• Diseñar y construir sistemas de streaming escalables para orquestar el almacenamiento, enriquecimiento y acceso a eventos de extremo a extremo.
• Colaborar con varios equipos internos (plataforma, producto, ingeniería ML) para alcanzar y entregar herramientas que garanticen la facilidad de uso del sistema.
• Trabajar con una variedad de tecnologías como Flink, Spark, Kafka, dbt, DynamoDB, AWS Transcribe, etc.
• Código con el mejor lenguaje para el trabajo, ya sea - Java, Python, Go o Scala 
   

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (BS+) in Computer Science or related discipline
• 2+ years of experience creating and maintaining data intensive applications.
• Strong Java or Python skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for collaboration across organizational boundaries

Experience with:

• Experience developing complex software systems that scale to millions of users with production-quality deployment, monitoring, and reliability
• Experience working with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with modern data technologies (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow)
• Experience with Databricks

Quién es usted

Cualificaciones básicas:

• Licenciatura (BS+) en Informática o una disciplina relacionada
• Más de 2 años de experiencia en la creación y el mantenimiento de aplicaciones con uso intensivo de datos
• Sólidos conocimientos de Java o Python
• Excelentes habilidades interpersonales y pasión por la colaboración a través de los límites de la organización
