THE ROLE

Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP) is a machine learning/AI powered customer acquisition and CRM multi-tenant platform. The Sr backend developer will work on server-side APIs and services that enable a highly distributed event pipeline and a stack that gets tens of thousands of messages per second.

As a Lead Software Engineer you will join provide technical leadership to the group responsible for architecting, developing, and owning the Zeta Marketing Platform. You will collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers and Executives across the organization to develop a roadmap and subsequent projects to build the next generation comprehensive, multichannel marketing solution that unifies and unlocks data across digital touch points, driving return on marketing investment.

This position will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of The Zeta Marketing Platform, working on technology that enables access to core of CRM and Data Cloud efforts. You will mentor an organization of developers through your knowledge sharing sessions that will guide and strengthen their knowledge.

You should have a deep knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture. You will need extensive design and development experience and passion about working with large amounts of data.

Your Impact:

  • Architect our big data ZMP Attribution platform
  • Dexterously own balancing of production features Support, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt
  • Excited by building reliable, self-healing services with robust error handling
  • Experience designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems that run across hundreds of compute nodes in multiple data centers
  • Capable of driving and delivering thin slices of end-to-end functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a hands on Lead engineer/technical architect
  • Strong programming skills (preferably in Java and Python) with specific focus on parallel and multithreaded programming
  • Experience with multi-tenant architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Experience in the Ad Tech domain, especially with Attribution.
  • Experience with building distributed systems
  • Experience building RESTful web-services, Microservices
  • Experience owning and operating multiple instances of mission critical service
  • Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development
  • Experience building real-time streaming data pipelines that scale horizontally
  • Experience with workflow management platforms (e.g. Airflow)
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g. Superset, HBase, Spark, Elasticsearch)
  • Knowledge of technologies used in building real time data pipelines and streaming applications (e.g. Kafka, Amazon Kinesis)
  • Familiar with NoSQL​ ​databases​ ​such​ ​as Aerospike,​ ​data warehouses such as Snowflake/ ClickHouse/Redshift
  • Experience with AWS, OpenStack or Azure for scaling web and mobile application backend infrastructure
  • Knowledge of open-source distributed automation frameworks (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Rundeck, STAF/STAX, Chef, Puppet)

COMPENSATION RANGE 

The compensation range for this role is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00, depending on location and experience.
