Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop information technology-enabled business solutions that are both scalable and reliable

• Execute all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment.

• Develop software by analyzing business requirements, conferring with management and users, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle.

• Determine and communicate project feasibility and sizing estimates through analysis, problem definition, requirement gathering, and solution development.

• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. 

• Prepare solutions by determining and designing system specifications, applying robust architectural patterns, applying coding standards, and programming.

• Lead and facilitate design reviews and code reviews; improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures; and lead and facilitate pre-production risk assessments and reviews.

• Assist with code build and deployment processes and mentor development team members to help them succeed in their assignments.

• Support and develop Zelis and the technology team by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

• Follow established HIPAA, Compliance, and Security policies. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions that consider Production parameters such as system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, and scalability.

• Five years’ experience designing enterprise class solutions using Backend and Web technologies including MVC, Entity Frameworks, Microsoft SQL Server, APIs, and Microservices

• Must have experience using C#, JavaScript, LINQ, and SQL

• May work remotely but must live within 100 miles of the St. Petersburg FL office.
