Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Project Manager with experience managing cross-functional and strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of project management principles and a proven ability to lead projects to successful completion while coordinating efforts across various departments.

What You’ll Do

• Act as a self-driven individual contributor, taking ownership of projects from conception to completion, demonstrating strong initiative and accountability in achieving objectives.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to ensure project objectives are aligned and met.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including defining scope, setting milestones, and identifying resources.

• Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure timely and successful delivery.

• Identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.

• Communicate project status, updates, and key metrics to stakeholders and senior management.

• Facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication and documentation of decisions and action items.

• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.

• Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.

• Minimal travel required; 10%.

What You’ll Bring to Zelis

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

• 3-5 years experience as Project Manager.

• Some experience in managing cross-functional and strategic projects.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within scope.

• Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).

• PMP or similar certification is a plus but not required.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
