We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to support our ambitious project of migrating systems to cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves working with a diverse team to design, implement, and maintain automated processes that ensure seamless integration, deployment, and operation of new systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments, and be capable of contributing effectively to complex projects. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing, integration, and deployment processes for GCP migration projects.
- Collaborate with teams across the globe to ensure automated processes meet business requirements and technical specifications.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development, testing, and deployment process.
- Develop and implement automated scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Utilize cloud monitoring tools and practices to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing automated processes.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure.
- Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Puppeteer.
- Experience in designing and implementing automated test suites for web applications.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools and practices.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable automation code and follow best practices in software development.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test management tools.
- Ability to create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements.
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills to identify and report software defects.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed environment.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
