Sales Engineer Associate (Lincolnshire/Chicago)

Working with Account or Channel Management, assists in developing and executing technology strategy. Designs solutions that meet customer needs and beat the competition. Develops strong relationships with sales team, internal engineering, and key technical customer contacts and leverages to Zebra's advantage; creates and delivers high impact solution presentations.

Qualified applicants must be able to work a hybrid schedule out of Zebra's Lincolnshire, IL office for the first ~  4-6 months. Following that onboarding period the role will permanently be based in Zebra's downtown Chicago office with the expectation of working in-office 5 days/week.

Participate with Sr. SE mentor in day-to-day engagement with a key Zebra customer

• Learn how customers engage with us and use Zebra solutions with hands-on experience.
• Assist Account SE on specific projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business,  engineering,  or a related degree or equivalent experience
• 0+ years of customer facing experience
• Must have completed the Discovery Partners Institute training
• Must be able to work out of both the Lincolnshire, IL and Downtown Chicago, IL offices. Some light travel (25%) could be expected. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship experience (or 1 + years) in a customer facing and technical role
• School/work technical project experience 
• Ability to work with diverse teams
• Critical thinking skills
• Technology experience such as Android, RFID, LAN/WAN/Cellular
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
• Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Uses moderate domain/solutions knowledge
• Ability to apply Solution Selling concepts to customer situations
