The Market Data Analyst II is the reporting arm of Marketing team. The primary purpose of the role is to provide operational analytics support to the Global Marketing organization which may include gathering requirements, as well as rolling out analytics and reporting solutions to key business users. It will require working with the business stakeholders and Marketing Leadership. The Market Data Analyst II is responsible for developing reports, dashboards, and supporting the Global Marketing Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Working directly with business stakeholders, designs a limited variety of moderately complex reports using data from one or multiple systems to specifications.
- Delivers report in format to aid business stakeholder interpretation (pivot tables, graphs, etc.)
- Reviews existing reports for data accuracy; Proposes resolutions for quality issues of limited scope to more senior level analysts and/or supervisor; Escalates complex quality issues to supervisor or senior staff for resolution.
- Uses data methodologies and business acumen to generate recommendations to moderately complex problems to review with supervisor and/or senior analysts.
- Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
- May be responsible for data governance processes and quality in assigned area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
We are looking a motivated and ambitious individual with at least 2+ years of professional experience in this role or similar and ideally a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Management, Marketing or Finance.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- High level of Excel skills required
- PowerBI and SQL knowledge required
- DAX coding highly advantageous
- Strong analytical skills – data cleaning and preparation, analyse data to extract answers to business questions
- Ability to present data in a visually compelling format
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attitude to learn and grow within the company, potentially willingness to learn machine learning.
