Position Overview:
Zebra Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in helping us build and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes, Helm, and GitHub Actions, as well as proficiency in Python. Experience with GoLang and C++ is a plus.
This is a very specific and remarkable greenfield opportunity. You will partner closely with cloud software, infrastructure and robotics teams to bring this to life. It’s mission critical. It’s innovative.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools and practices.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts for application deployment.
  • Integrate and manage GitHub Actions for automated workflows.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a DevOps role or related field.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Hands-on experience with Git Actions.
  • Expertise in scripting skills in Python.
  • Experience with GoLang, typescript and C++ is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
  • Basic Understanding of ROS (Robot operating system),
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to monitoring tools like Postgres, SQL DB, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
