The Business Communications Specialist’s primary responsibility is to support employee communication initiatives that help accomplish business objectives. This position executes specific tactics to educate and engage internal target audiences in support of corporate goals and strategies.
The Business Communications Specialist will execute the business communications operations strategy inclusive of metrics analysis, employee email activations, shared mailboxes, Viva Engage, digital signage, content calendar, stock images, swag and SharePoint sites. Will also support People Team communications, our employee intranet reporter program and other creative projects (internal social media posts, people manager newsletter, presentations and videos)
Responsibilities:
- Receives strategic guidance to help drive the operations for all employee-facing business communications, advancing the planning and execution of all internal communications.
- Supports the consistent and coordinated execution of employee and People Team communication plans and initiatives, inclusive of new campaigns, organizational changes, policy changes, and re-occurring annual and quarterly topics.
- Provides suggestions to executive comms support staff on effective employee communications - both written and verbal to help them more effectively deliver compelling messages through communications vehicles – based on communications data.
- Leads Zebra’s internal email management system, Eloqua, and serves as point of contact for the global email calendar, directing when messages can be sent.
- Serves as a “design champion” for all internal creative needs. This includes becoming a brand ambassador for the Business Communications team, ensuring brand compliance. Also includes serving as a creative consultant for internal design requests, including the actual development of creative ranging from images to video editing.
- Acts as co-lead of the employee intranet reporter program and supports content development for the intranet. This includes sharing stories of employees living the brand, engaging employees, shaping the market narrative, advancing our corporate focus on ‘customer needs’ at the center.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, public relations or relevant discipline required
- 2+ years of experience, preferably with internal employee communications experience
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Organized and personable with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work with different stakeholders and teams in a global organization while balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented, with a discipline of measurement around Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Solid project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and a dynamic work environment.
- Experience working with Eloqua, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and Wallboard Digital Signage
- Experience working in video production and creative development is preferred, including experience with Photoshop and basic video editing tools

Salary: USD 65500.00 - USD 98300.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
