The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

 

This Electrical Engineering internship will work in Zebra's Machine Vision business unit. 

 

This position does require hybrid work in the Dorval, Canada location.

Ce stage en génie électrique travaillera dans l'unité commerciale Vision industrielle de Zebra.

 

Ce poste nécessite un travail hybride dans l'emplacement de Dorval, au Canada.


Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the “stand-alone subsystems” imaging development team, you will participate in various aspects of design and validation of complex products used in industrial inspection systems. These systems perform image acquisition, processing and control to different devices to achieve real-time industrial inspection.

 

Your primary responsibilities will be to assist in validating electronic cards, as well as qualifying all electronics components. You will have to:

  • Assist engineers in the designs of new products
  • Research new components and validate prototypes
  • Review schematics of new designs
  • Troubleshoot and perform electrical qualification on new cards
  • Prepare systems for environmental chamber tests and electromagnetic compliance

En collaboration avec l'équipe de développement de l'imagerie des « sous-systèmes autonomes », vous participerez à divers aspects de la conception et de la validation de produits complexes utilisés dans les systèmes d'inspection industrielle. Ces systèmes effectuent l'acquisition, le traitement et le contrôle d'images sur différents appareils pour réaliser une inspection industrielle en temps réel.

 

Vos principales responsabilités seront d'aider à valider les cartes électroniques, ainsi que de qualifier tous les composants électroniques. Vous devrez :

  • Aider les ingénieurs dans la conception de nouveaux produits
  • Rechercher de nouveaux composants et valider des prototypes
  • Examiner les schémas des nouvelles conceptions
  • Dépannez et exécutez la qualification électrique sur de nouvelles cartes
  • Préparer les systèmes pour les essais en chambre environnementale et la conformité électromagnétique

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in electrical engineering with an expected graduation date by December 2027
  • Basic electronics knowledge (high speed digital, analog circuit, etc…)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Resourceful
  • Ability for practical work
  • A good knowledge of both French and English is highly preferred
