2025 Summer Internship (US) - Software Solution Engineer

Remote Work: Hybrid

The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Must be available to work in our Kennesaw, Georgia office a minimum of 3 days a week.

• Enhance Existing Applications: Review and refactor the current backend application to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Test Coverage: Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy to increase test coverage for unit tests.
• Modular Architecture: Design and implement modular components to facilitate easier maintenance and future feature development.
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align on project requirements and deliverables.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and thorough documentation for new features and architectural changes.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in the application.

THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN X. THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Computer Engineering.
• Must have an anticipated graduation date between May 2025 - Dec. 2027
• Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma, Protractor).
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., NgRx, Akita).
• Proven experience in improving test coverage and implementing state management in Angular applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
• Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Angular development.

Salary: USD 27.00 - USD 38.00 Hourly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
