2025 Summer Internship (US) - Software Engineer

The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN LINCOLNSHIRE, IL. THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or comparable
• Must have an anticipated Bachelor’s degree graduation date between Dec 2025- May 2028 (Freshman through Junior) and/or pursuing a MS/MA with a graduation date between 2025-2027. 
• Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Understanding of fundamental data structures (arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs) and algorithms (sorting, searching, dynamic programming).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of the software development process (requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment).
• Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements. 
• Results oriented self-starter
• Advanced user of MS Office tools incl. ppt, excel and other advanced ones
• Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Salary: USD 27.00 - USD 38.00 Hourly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
