The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

 

Zebra Robotics Automation Applications team builds all front facing UX and backend APIs to support our Fulfillment and Material Movement solutions for Autonomous Mobile Robots. Our software includes a real time map that displays location and sensor information for robots and APIs that interface to both internal and external customers

 

This is intern role is a hybrid opportunity based in San Jose, CA and will be working onsite a minimum of 3 days a week. Zebra does not offer relocation or housing budget.  

 

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future


Responsibilities:
  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

As a Summer Intern in the Robotics Automation application/ Full Stack team, you will be responsible for the following –

  • Select from a set of relevant projects for Summer 2025 related to our work on our robotic Fulfillment solution. Our solution centers on enabling warehouse customers to automate picking of orders to ship to customers. We use cloud services, handheld devices, and Autonomous Mobile robots so your work will provide you with broad exposure to our stack.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or graduate degree program in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science.
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date between May 2025-December 2026 for undergraduate degree programs and 2025 to 2026 for graduate degree programs.
  • Experience/ Prior internship in Full Stack Development and experience with JavaScript is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to work in the San Jose, CA office a minimum of three days a week. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Full stack development using React / React Native, Golang and Async programming is highly desired.
  • Experience with databases like SQL/ Postgres SQL or Redis will be highly desired.
  • Ability to work with and understand complex systems will be highly desired.
  • Good communicator, self-motivated, and critical thinking skills

Salary: USD 27.60 - USD 35.08 Hourly


Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
